The Senior Event Producer at Smyle is focussed on producing events and activations for major corporates and high profile brands in a live and virtual environments. The role will undertake projects of varying sizes ad be responsible for ongoing client account management along with all aspects of project communication, scheduling, budgeting and event delivery. Not only will the role require you to lead by example on projects there will also be a requirement for line management, developing and mentoring of members of the event team.

 


Key Accountabilities


  • Confidently manage a client throughout the project journey: from the brief, to the project management lifecycle, to the debrief, ensuring client satisfaction on all projects
  • Accountable for creative production responses including our approach to the brief from a content perspective, creative approach, digital, production and budget 
  • Delivering virtual events on both bespoke and customisable platforms for a virtual/hybrid experience. 
  • Provide leadership, direction and build positive relationships internally for the wider project team; developing critical paths and milestones schedules, ensuring these are followed, maintained and meet the expectations of the client 
  • Manage and create project budgets, overseeing all other departments, ensuring client approval of all spend, meeting GP targets and all PO’s and sales invoices are raised in a timely manner
  • Working with the Creative team and bringing your previous experience to develop creative solutions for experiential and digital concepts 
  • Play a lead role in the Pitch team, agreeing the approach, structure, timeline for the presentation delivery, ensuring the final pitch aligns to the client’s and Smyle’s brand values
  • Line manage and mentor a small team including carrying out personal development plans to ensure strong performance and career progression. 
  • Supporting the Head of Events with process reviews, supplier and freelance roster management 
  • Proven capability to manage complex projects with budgets ranging from ranging from £1m - £5m and audience size of up to 15,000, and in excess of 100+ project staff 
  • All other duties appropriate to the role

 

About You


  • Significant experience as an Event Producer within a similar organisation including digital / virtual events 
  • Expert knowledge of and proven experience in the large-scale events arena, with the ability to develop trust and inspire our clients at all levels 
  • Specialist in live presentations - content preparation and delivery 
  • Full knowledge of creative, logistical, technical, operational and production procedures
  • Team leadership experience and ability to motivate and mentor team members
  • Resilient under pressure with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and adhere to high standards of quality when working to tight deadlines 
  • Strong track record in complex experimental events for high-profile brands, B2C brand events and B2B conference delivery including major corporates and high-profile brands.
