The Senior Creative Strategist is a critical role at Smyle, contributing to the creative work that we do by developing insights-driven briefs and working with the creative team to deliver strategic ideas to solve an array of client challenges. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Receiving, interrogating and (sometimes!) challenging the client brief
  • Conducting research as needed to develop insights to inform creative solution that delivers perfectly to the brief
  • Development of clear creative brief documents including strategic ‘thought starters’ and guidance to inspire ideation and creative responses across experiential and digital campaigns and activations
  • Briefing to creative planner/creative team to kick off creative work
  • Reviewing creative work and responses to brief to ensure it stays on brief
  • Building, developing and crafting pitches / presentations alongside creative planner, designers and production team
  • Presenting insights to, and testing concepts with clients in lead-up to creative pitch
  • Leading on pitching our thinking and ideas to clients
  • Staying abreast of global trends, B2B, B2C, Internal, Influencer comms trends
  • All other duties appropriate to the role

About You

  • Superb communications skills
  • A keen interest in societal, business trends and insight into what makes human beings tick. 
  • Some experience with live events
  • An advertising planner background is a plus too
  • The strategic planner must embrace and champion Smyle’s behaviours - Be Passionate, Be Smart, Be Creative
